Cassandra's Engine
Cassandra saw the future with perfect clarity. The curse wasn’t her vision — it was that no one believed her until it was too late. Cassandra’s Engine reverses that myth. It is a system built to protect the first vision — before delay, over-discussion, or consensus can weaken it. The strongest ideas arrive whole, charged with form and feeling. Our job is to carry them cleanly into reality before the world talks them out of existence.
Cassandra's Engine Process
Cassandra’s Engine is Honey Lacquer Toys’ development pipeline for turning an inner image into a fully realized object. It begins with the prompt, where the vision is named, styled, and emotionally tuned, then moves into image generation, where the character first takes visible form. From there, the concept becomes a 3D asset that can be refined, tested, and translated across digital and physical worlds.
Drip
Everything begins with the Drip—the written prompt where the vision is named, styled, and emotionally tuned. It holds the character logic, material cues, silhouette, mood, and mythic charge. It is part creative direction, part invocation. The Drip is the source code of the object; everything that follows flows from it.
Drop
The prompt is pushed through Midjourney to generate the visual concept. This is the Drop—when the imagined object first becomes visible. Proportions, surface language, attitude, and color begin to lock into place. The image serves as both creative proof and the visual brief for everything downstream.
Define
The image is fed into Meshy to generate the initial 3D mesh. The concept gains volume—it can be turned, tested from every angle, and evaluated for proportion in three dimensions. This is the raw form: full of potential, not yet ready for production, but undeniably real for the first time.
Draft
The cleaned mesh is converted into solid geometry—NURBS surfaces and parametric bodies that speak the language of manufacturing. Tolerances are set. Draft angles are applied. Wall thickness is validated. What was an artist's object becomes an engineer's object, governed not by feeling but by the physics of material and process.
Deploy
The final manufacturing package is exported—dimensioned drawings, STEP and IGES solid files, and AutoCAD-ready DWG files with tolerances, material callouts, and finish specifications locked. This is the file that crosses the threshold from design into production: the complete, unambiguous instruction set for making the object real in American hands.
